This is worth being clear about before anyone starts, because it affects both safety and how the day runs.
Day-to-day direction
Hired workers take task direction from your site supervisor. You decide what gets done, in what order, to what standard. That is the point of hiring labour rather than subcontracting an outcome.
What stays with the site
Whoever controls the workplace carries duties for everyone on it — inductions, safe systems of work, hazard control, amenities. Bringing in hired labour does not shift that.
Making it work
Name one person as the point of contact and tell the crew who it is. Where a site has several trades working at once, ambiguity about who is directing whom is where problems start.
If something is not right
Ring us the same day rather than at the end of the week. A crew problem is much easier to fix while the job is still running.
