Warehouse labour and site labour are both physical, but they are not the same job.
The work is driven by movements
Containers, pallets and dispatch windows set the pace. The crew is often waiting for a truck, then working hard for a fixed period. Booking against a delivery window matters more than booking against a start time.
Plant and pedestrians share the floor
Forklifts and people in the same aisles is the main hazard. Clear walkways, spotters and agreed exclusion zones do most of the work in keeping it safe.
Stock handling standards
Damage costs more than time. If loads need to be stacked a particular way, or particular items handled carefully, say so at the briefing rather than after.
Cleanliness
Strapping, pallet wrap and broken timber build up fast during an unload. Plan where it goes before you start.
