How much notice to give when booking site labour

· 1 min read · Labour Hire

More notice means more choice — about who comes, what tickets they hold and what time they start.

Planned work

A few days out is comfortable for most jobs. For a larger crew, or anything needing specific tickets, earlier is better. If you know a handover date or a container ETA weeks ahead, book against it and adjust later.

Next day

Often achievable, particularly for general site labour. Ring rather than email — it gets a straight answer faster.

Same day

Sometimes possible, and worth a call if something has gone wrong on site. We would rather tell you honestly that we cannot cover it than leave you waiting.

What speeds it up

Have the suburb, the task, the number of people and the start time ready. That is usually enough to give you a yes or no on the spot.
