Most material handling injuries are not dramatic. They are backs, shoulders and hands, accumulated over a day.
Reduce the handling first
The safest lift is the one nobody does. Deliver material as close to where it will be used as access allows. Every extra shift of a pallet is extra risk and extra time.
Use the gear
Trolleys, pallet jacks, panel lifters and a second pair of hands. Improvising because the right equipment is at the other end of site is how people get hurt.
Two-person lifts
Agree who calls it, lift together, walk in step, put it down together. Most dropped loads are a communication failure, not a strength one.
Keep the path clear
Trip hazards matter far more when someone is carrying something and cannot see their feet.
